Cellulose cartridges are high-quality sample reservoirs for quality control, research, and analysis applications. These reservoirs are used when solvent extraction of solid and semi-solid materials is required. Using a Soxhlet extractor provides a safe extraction method with toxic and other hazardous solvents.

They are typically used in Soxhlet, Tecator, or similar extractors to collect solid material that requires separation by dissolving it in a suitable solvent. The maximum operating temperature is 120°C.
