Standard Filter Used for the Collection of Suspended Solids in Drinking Water and Industrial Waste

- Chemical Stability: Glass microfiber filters have excellent stability, resisting most reagents and solvents except for highly concentrated acid and basic solutions.
- Thermal Stability: These filters withstand operating temperatures up to 500ºC.
- Mechanical Strength: They are resistant to bending, so the sheets can be folded for transport or shipment to the laboratory, for example, in the case of atmospheric field analysis.
- Permeability: These filters have high permeability to air, resulting in generally good flow rates. All of this makes them ideal for use in atmospheric simulation analysis.
- Particle Retention: The physical and chemical properties of glass microfibers allow these filters to achieve excellent particle retention not only at the surface but also at depth through electrostatic adsorption mechanisms and other more complex processes.
- Weight Stability: Because they are non-hygroscopic, they do not experience significant weight fluctuations.

- Loading Capacity: Due to their high bulk density (weight/thickness ratio) and the nature of the fibers, these filters have a high loading capacity.

Application Areas
- Standard filter for the collection of suspended solids in drinking water and industrial waste in many parts of the world.
- Fast and efficient clarification of aqueous liquids containing low to moderate fine particles.
- Widely used for cell harvesting.
- Liquid scintillation counting and binding analyses.
